Payment Information

Our team knows that for pet owners, it can be stressful enough having to bring your furry family members in for emergency visits. That's why we are proud to announce that ECEC has several payment and finance options available to our clients to ensure that your pet receives the best possible care!

We do require payment at time of service and accept VISA, Mastercard, AMEX, Discover and Cash. We are unfortunately unable to accept checks at this time.

Insurance – Claims Express & Reimbursement

Emerald City Emergency Clinic works directly with a handful of pet insurance companies to offer our clients a direct-to-vet payment option. When you are presented with an estimate, just ask one of our team members about pre-approving the anticipated cost of care through your insurance company. Not every company is the same and policies can/will vary on an individual basis. We will do our best to bill your insurance provider directly, making it possible for your pet to receive the best necessary care without the up-front deposit. Our clinic will only charge you what your provider won't cover – this will vary policy to policy, but your insurance company will provide you a detailed list of what you should anticipate paying as your co-pay (generally the cost of exam, your individual deductible, a percentage of the total bill and sales tax). ECEC is not affiliated with any pet insurance companies.
*There are several insurance providers that do not offer a claims express/direct-pay option. Please contact your individual provider with questions regarding whether or not your visit is eligible for claims express/direct pay.

Care Credit

Care Credit is one of the leaders in health care financing by providing qualified applicants with a credit line for medical procedures. This credit card can be used for human medical and dental expenses in addition to your pet's care while here at Emerald City Emergency Clinic. The application process is simple and quick! You can apply on their website: www.carecredit.com or have one of our team members present you with an application that we are able to run in house. We will need two forms of ID and the completed application in order to process it for you. The application is generally processed within 10-15 minutes and the credit line can be used immediately if approved.
*We do require care credit applications to be submitted prior to discussing any in house financing options, though our in-house payment plans are not dependent on approval. We will try to work with you!

In House Financing/Billing Plans

On a case-by-case basis, Emerald City is able to offer in house payment plans for anticipated or accrued medical costs. We will have the client start by applying for care credit and whether approved or declined, we will be able to work with you! Our payment plans are set up on a sliding scale fully dependent on cost anticipated and the initial deposit we obtain. We offer 6-12 month contracts on an auto-pay program. A deposit will be collected at time of admit and anything in addition to the deposit will be divided up accordingly and split into 6-12 monthly payments based on the contract qualifications. Our staff is happy to calculate an estimated monthly cost to ensure this is a feasible financial option for you.
